Blastembaby

Blast'embaby is a relaunch of our songs. As you probably know the music industry is very difficult to break into and our attempts over many years have not been as fruitful as we thought they might be. As explained on the "Our Story" page we live in two different countries and life has not made it easy for us to be as creative as we could have been, time and money being a major influence on our ability to work together to produce the quantity of songs required to build an album, and however pleased we are with our early work, the songs did not seem to excite the right people. Ra continued writing songs, and Geno produced his own work.

 

Married life and a baby brought a pause to Geno's music. However life conspired to bring them together again in October 2014. Ra had written a song at the beginning of 2010 and in early 2014 he had to have one of his front teeth extracted and finding the cost of a replacement bridge, in the UK, extortionate, he contacted a mutual dentist friend in Croatia who made a trip to the dentist a financially pleasurable experience. A Facebook message to Geno was not intially encouraging because of his work, fathering and babysitting commitments. ;-) Ra sent him an email with the 2010 song plus another which they had worked on and not finished. Ra felt confident that having heard the new song Geno would be enthused enough to squeeze in some time to create a musical masterpiece. We would say that wouldn't we.  

 

Excuse our enthusiasm, however we both feel very proud of the song we produced over a Saturday morning and a couple of other short sessions. Ra in the meantime had been thinking to promote our songs it would be good to have a band name and through a particular process 'BLAST THEM BABY' was born, and the contraction 'BLAST'EMBABY' becoming the final name.
